    Stop Searching, Start Vacationing

If you haven’t tried surfing yet, there are many compelling reasons why you should. When you finally try it, you might even catch the surfing bug and continue to progress in the sport. Check out some of our favorite spots in Florida to try surfing.

    Cocoa Beach

    little surfing on Cocoa Beach

Cocoa beach is lovingly referred to as the “surf capital of the East Coast” by locals and visitors alike, referring to the year-round warm temperatures, a range of wave difficulties, and the classic surf-town vibe surrounding the beaches. Cocoa beach is also home to Kelly Slater, one of the greatest surfers of all time… if that doesn’t show just how great the surf is, nothing will! There are private surf lessons offered at Cocoa Beach, which is a great way to get up on the waves. Additionally, Cocoa Beach Surf Company offers group lessons and semi-private group lessons. If you are just looking for a daytime surfboard rental, then look no further than Pure Aloha Surf School in Cocoa Beach.

    Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach is a great surf spot in Florida because of its very consistent waves and very soft, sandy ocean bottom, which makes falling off the board a lot less daunting! If you are looking for surf lessons, surf camps, and even group surfing for corporate events, then Pure Life Surf School of Daytona Beach is the place to look. For another surf lesson option in Daytona Beach, check out Daytona Beach Surf School, which was the first surf school in Daytona Beach and is “still the best,” with surf camps and lessons with CPR-certified instructors. Finally, for board rentals in Daytona Beach, check out the Daytona Board Store.

        • St. Augustine

              • For a great surfing community, some of the most consistent swells in the country, and small crowds for a Florida Beach town, choose to visit St. Augustine. For an hour and a half-long surf lesson to get going in the waves, you can check out this opportunity. Further, for surf lessons and camps for kids, Surf Station Surf School is another great option. Finally, for board rentals, the Pit Surf Shop in Daytona Beach is the place to go.

    • Venice Beach

Man surfing on Venice Beach in Florida

          • Finally, Venice Beach, Florida is one more amazing place to surf. The Venice Beach Jetties have some of the biggest waves (and the largest crowds to watch them) on the East Coast. Well-placed sand makes for intense wave breaks, so if you want to check out Venice Beach on your own, then Jay’s rentals in Venice Beach is the place to rent from. Additionally, if you want surf lessons in Venice Beach, then Lesson Pro and Pacific Surf School offer a wide array of surf lessons in the area.
