WET Rentals & Tours is your headquarters for fun in and around the water when you visit Clearwater. There are two qualities you look for when choosing a tour operator on vacation. Access to exclusive areas off the beaten path, and a willingness to go above and beyond for visitors. Owner Chris and his team cover both to ensure you have a memorable experience.
Their jet ski tours are extremely well-received, given their proximity to so many awesome routes. The most popular choices for tours include Hurricane Pass, Honeymoon Island Three Rooker, and Anclote Key. However, other routes that are available by request include Mandalay Channel, Pope Channel, Clearwater Bay, Clearwater Harbor, Clearwater Pass, Sand Key, Belleair Beach, Sharrer Cut, Caladesi Island State Park, Dunedin Pass, Dunedin Channel, and St. Joseph Sound. The sheer number of options gives you an excuse to go out with the crew each time you come back to the Clearwater area.
Their top of the line EX Sport Jet Ski Waverunners feature 3 cylinder, 4 stroke Yamaha Marine Engines. It’s hard to frown when you hit the gas and let them rip. Weighing 584 pounds, with a 13 gallon fuel tank, their 10′ Jet Skis gives you the agility to move swift and turn on a dime and are perfect for the Gulf waters.
Before pushing off from the dock, as required by Florida state law, riders born before January 1st 1988 will not require a boaters license. However, riders born after January 1st 1988 can obtain a Temporary Boaters Education Certificate prior to arrival. The course can be found here and should only take 15 to 20 minutes.
Depending on how much time and sunscreen you have, you can choose between three options: a 1 hour jet ski ride, a 1.5 hour jet ski island adventure, and a 2 hour jet ski dolphin & island excursion. The rental will include life jacket, gas, and all other safety materials.
For those looking to motor their own flotation device at their own pace they can grab a paddle board to explore the surrounding channels, islands and beaches. Wet Rentals recently stocked up on the popular ISLE Versa Stand Up Paddle Boards, which provide an easy, stable ride suitable for novice to intermediate paddlers.
Pick up your board for the day and take it wherever you’d like, or just launch straight from their floating dock. They are located directly on the intercoastal waterway side of the beach, making it a perfect launch spot that’s just minutes from islands and the Caladesi Island Kayak Trail. Find your own little slice of paradise!
For those who want to remain on shore, you can rent a Fat Tire Bike, which are great on sidewalks as well as Clearwater’s pressed beach shores. Each bike has two internal gears that can be switched by pressing back on the pedal, it’s that easy! Take your stylish bike for a bite to eat in one of the nearby shops or take an off-road cruise on sand.
Bubba’s extremely excited to work with WET Rentals & Tours, located at the 629 Bay Hotel. The company is dedicated to putting people at the center of their own adventure, something we can definitely get behind.
