Luckily, there are several wonderful and unique outdoor spaces in Sarasota that you can enjoy alongside your pup. Brohard Beach is located on Harbor Drive in South Venice, Sarasota County. The beach is equipped with free doggy bags, showers, and water fountains for both humans and dogs! Lakeview Park has restrooms and picnic tables, as well as a designated dog park. Lakeview park also has a canoe/kayak launch and disc golf. Pets on leashes are allowed in Myakka State Park and your dog is sure to love running or walking along the river banks. The Myakka River is Florida’s first state-named “wild and scenic river” which flows through over 50 miles of undisturbed ecosystems.
